• Using six nails instead of three will prevent unnecessary ripping of the shingle and will double your roof's wind rating.
• In order to prevent leaking caused by ice damming we will install ice and water shield around all roof penetrations and overhangs.
• We will install 30lb felt underlayment which is twice as thick as what many other roofing companies use. This felt underlayment seals in around the nail.
• Properly ventilating your home comes with endless benefits, including: reducing your heating and/or air conditioning bills, increasing the life of the roof, and reducing condensation in your attic which will reduce the likelihood of rot.
• We also offer a chimney package which includes a flex cap and chimney flashing. The chimney flashing which we will install on your home is stair stepped and attached using riglets. Using riglets will greatly reduce the chances of water leaking through the edges of the sides of the flashing and into your home.
